The $1 cable I referred to is one I've bought many of, of various lengths, as I don't like messy cables. Enough to spout nonsense you know nothing about, and called the bluff of the wrong person.
>Or, you know, you just used the cables Apple provided, which they could be certain met the necessary safety standards, unlike some $1 cable that probably doesn't but who cares? Pls, DON'T adjust the tension screw without the monitor mounted on it.
#ASUS VE247H MONITOR ARM PS2#
The visuals were good but reminded me of the PS3's emulation of PS2 and PSOne Games, the edges of characters seemed jagged but since this monitor also has a 4:8 Aspect ratio, playing older console games on it is easy on the eyes. At a later point, I attached my PS2 using a Component to HDMI converter and played Persona 3 FES. The screen is matte so you dont see any reflections in the screen which makes watching movies and gaming a lot more visually stimulating. The picture has always been very vivid and sharp and completely out does every monitor that Ive ever used. Although I was wrong, the 2ms response time eliminates any ghosting that i could possibly see.

I went out to buy this monitor thinking that the response time was the refresh rate at 2ms, would have been awesome I believe. According to Newegg the refresh rates are as follows: Although Newegg shows specifications for a higher refresh rate, my limited knowlegde has yet to draw them out. The screen does need some calibration out of the box but other than that there is no real problem, well other than the 60hz refresh rate. This monitor is quite something! I got it at $150 CDN on sale last year and it really hasn't let me down since.
